Throwing history:

I starting goofing around with throwing while in the U.S Army during the 1980's. Nothing serious, but just amused ourselves while waiting for war games to heat up. I then took up serious throwing in early 1996, initially using a large Blackjack thrower but had the usual success problems. I then did the research and found the size and weight was wrong which lead me to the Branton camp for some serious direction and corrections [thanks Bobby]. The rest is immensive practice effort and lots of research. That's the short story on my throwing history.

Theses are the knives I have acquired at the present time. I have tried to be diversified in styles, lengths and weights in my never ending search for that near perfect thrower.
{short description of image} These knives are the start of my personal collection. I do not throw these knives, but just hang on the wall and admire them. They are a definite ice breaker at parties as most non-throwers cannot resist the urge to ask about "those Bowie knives".
{short description of image} I prefer to practice with a set of at least three knives. Cost can be a drawback to aquiring sets of knives. I purchased the Branton #13's pre-owned from a web connection. The Wahos'i models have new leather handles as I just plum wore out the originals beyond repair.
{short description of image} The camp knife is a little heavy for the length but is passible as a thrower in a pinch. It has a pretty good edge and works great as a chopper around the yard. The other Beaver Bill knife is his thrower model which also has a nice edge and is a good period looking thrower. The SKO #17 is a real monster! at 16 inches and 27 onces, I am moving toward making this my main competition thrower.
{short description of image} This is the fun stuff. Although I only have one of each they are good throwers. The small Hibben Pro was my first knife. I am in the process of modifying it. The United Viper clone has been modified and is a great fun thrower. The Bowie axe is sweet, can't say anything else better about it. The propeller knife is my design and made by Bobby Branton. I had distance throwing in mind with it and am still evaluating it. The SKO hawk is a real workhorse as I use it to clear stumps etc. as well as throw it.
